Our Presenter- Julie Miller

Julie and her husband Bill live in the Westminster area. They have a small farm where they raise steers, laying hens and meat birds. They have an extensive garden where they preserve and cook what we grow.  Julie cooks regularly for her family that consists of her husband, 3 daughters, and 4 grandkids plus companions.  

Julie states, “ I developed a passion for cooking as a child watching and learning from my mother and grandmothers who worked in food prep. My sisters and I spent a lot of time helping to prepare meals for large family gatherings or events. 

I’m well versed in large quantity cooking though paring down is on the horizon. I was instilled with a desire to stretch meals to make the most of my pantry. I get inspired to whip up tasty morsels in my down time, typically adding my own economical twist to something that I’ve recently tried.

My family is a meat and potatoes kind of family at the core, but my tastes spread beyond that. I like to make tasty soups that warm the soul and satisfy the palette.”

Whole Chickens and Beef Roasts will be available for purchase in the farm store after the class. Class attendees will receive a 10% discount on their purchases of these items.
